9 AM – Tower Window Wildlife with Lady Flava

Good Morning Friends,

This morning, my tower was buzzing with life.

Usually, I enjoy a bird or two stopping by my window. Today was completely different. Before I even started work, it felt like the entire neighborhood had decided to meet outside my window.

The sparrows were everywhere.

Some were lined up on the utility wires like they were waiting for roll call. Others were tucked deep inside my cedar tree, quietly grooming their feathers. A few launched right off my roof and flew so close to my window that I could hear their wings. I even had a couple dive out from the gutter above my head and fly right in front of me. They were so fast I couldn’t catch them with my camera!

Then a seagull flew by, airplanes crossed the morning sky, and a squirrel made his morning dash across the wires.

I actually had to stop watching long enough to do my work call-out because I couldn’t keep up with everything happening outside.

Even Musty seemed interested. Instead of sitting on the top perch of his cat tree like he usually does, he chose the lower ledge today, almost as if he wanted a front-row seat to the morning show.

I’ve lived in this tower for quite a while, and I’ve never seen this much activity all at once. It reminded me that nature has its own schedule, its own rhythm, and its own little community. Sometimes all we have to do is sit quietly by a window, and the world comes to us.

This morning, I didn’t have to go anywhere.

The wildlife came to visit me.
