Tuesday — A Taste of Flava 🌻

The Neighborhood Is Waking Up

Today is another quiet morning in the neighborhood. Not quite as quiet as yesterday, but the sky is absolutely beautiful.

Over the weekend, I finally treated myself to a couple of Seattle bird books and an identification guide. I had everything sitting here yesterday, ready to go.

And wouldn’t you know it?

No visitors. 🤣

Apparently the neighborhood birds didn’t get the memo that Lady Flava was ready for them.

But today is different.

I’ve already spotted what I believe is a sparrow, and one of the neighborhood crows made an appearance. I’m beginning to recognize that these crows don’t all sound alike either. This one caws, but he doesn’t sound like Poe.

I’m really excited about this new little interest of mine. I want to see just how many different birds visit the neighborhood and how many I can actually learn to identify.

Who knew sitting up here in Flava Tower looking out the window could turn into my own little nature study? 🐦🐦‍⬛

So far this morning, I’m just drinking my water, watching the neighborhood and enjoying the peaceful start to my Tuesday.

Wait…

I spoke too soon.

Yapper is awake. 😱🤣

And YAPPING.

I still can’t figure out exactly where that little dog lives. I thought he was at the six-plex next door, but now I’m wondering if he’s actually at the townhouse behind us.

All I know is…

There goes the calm, quiet neighborhood. 😂

Oh well. The birds are here, the sky is beautiful, my water is cold, and another day has begun in the neighborhood.

Happy Tuesday!
