Tuesday A Taste of Flava

Today has been a busy phone day, with calls lasting longer than usual. I tend to give patients more time when they need to explain their situation and make sure I truly understand what they are going through.

Sometimes people simply need to feel heard and supported.

I’m grateful that my day began with some fun bird and squirrel activity outside my tower window. The energy was different this morning—busy, playful, and so much fun to watch.

I also realize that I’m feeling a little anxious about tomorrow. I have to take an Uber to an appointment with my new primary care doctor—an appointment I have waited months to get.

I know everything will be just fine. But I spend most of my time here in my tower, and when I do leave home, my daughter usually drives me. Taking an Uber and heading out on my own feels different.

So yes, tomorrow morning I will set a positive intention, take some deep breaths, and remind myself that I can do this.
