🌻 Flava Daily Chronicle | Friday Flow
Morning:
Left home to a soft sprinkle — arrived to a full Seattle downpour. ☔ That’s the Pacific Northwest keeping me humble.
Mid-Morning:
A coworker kindly showed me something new about marking travel info for patients… then proceeded to walk me through how to check in a patient — something I’ve done a few thousand times. 😄 I just smiled, thanked them, and carried on.
Late Morning:
Another team member took a call that had me quietly thinking, I might’ve handled that one differently. Sometimes, patient advocacy means stepping away from the phone, walking down the hall, and talking face-to-face. That human touch still matters. 💛
Afternoon:

Found an interesting “art installation” made entirely of binder clips at a nearby workstation. Someone was clearly in a creative mood. 🎨 Office humor keeps things light.
Quiet Moment:
I asked myself — is drinking hot tea the same as hot water? Turns out, not quite. Tea brings flavor and extras; water is just pure balance. Maybe I’m a little of both — grounded, but full of flavor. 💧
Evening Reflection:
It must be Grumpy Patient Friday! 😅 I’ve been yelled at more times than I can count — all because someone called the wrong clinic. I just take a deep breath, smile through the phone, and say, “I’m sorry, you’ve reached the surgery clinic — but I’d be happy to transfer you to the right place.”
Patience really is part of patient care… even when it’s tested. 💛
✨ Some days bring rain, laughter, and little reminders to keep learning. That’s the Flava of my Friday. ✨
Evening Moment:
Before heading home, I had a check-in with someone dear to me. Her mother has decided to stop her cancer medication because it’s making her so sick. I understand that kind of decision — I walked through it with both my parents. Sometimes, all you can do is listen and let your heart be still beside theirs. It’s not about finding the right words… it’s about simply being present. 💛
