H&W| Mindful Movement in the Rain

🌧️ Mindful Movement in the Rain

Simply Flava | Health & Wellness Chronicles

This morning, I woke up slow. It was stormy and gray in Seattle — the kind of morning that makes you want to curl deeper into the covers and just listen to the rain beat its rhythm against the window. The trees outside my SereniKey window were dancing in the wind, swaying to and fro like nature’s reminder to just flow.

Before my feet even touched the floor, I took a moment to breathe. I did a few gentle torso twists, a couple of bridges, and let my body wake up with me. No rush. Just movement with purpose. I’m learning that every little bit counts — that mindful movement doesn’t have to mean breaking a sweat. It’s simply about keeping my body in motion, reminding it that I’m still here, still taking care of myself, still showing up.

I’ve been drinking my hot water first thing every morning — it soothes me, especially on days like this. It helps my digestion and keeps me grounded. I added a little extra focus on moving more this week — even at work, between phone calls or while sitting at my desk. Those small choices make a big difference.

My body is responding — slowly, surely — and even though I’m still dealing with some constipation issues, I know my system is shifting. It’s adjusting. Progress doesn’t always look perfect; sometimes it looks like round edges finding their flow.

Today, I’m just grateful for the rain, my warm cup of water, and the rhythm of movement that reminds me that healing is a process — one I can meet with gentleness and consistency.

🩵 Move a little today, even if it’s just a stretch in your chair or a deep breath at your window. Your body will thank you.

The rain washed the noise away and left me this view — calm, colorful, and full of life. Sometimes you don’t need to go anywhere to feel refreshed. Just open the window, breathe it in, and remember: peace is already here. 🌧️🌿
