Birthday – A Taste of Flava
Although many people say your 65th birthday is the milestone birthday, and I agree that it is, today, on my 66th birthday, feels even more significant.
Over this past year, I have grown in ways I never expected. I have faced challenges from my past, worked through them, and made the conscious decision to let them go instead of carrying them into my future.
There is a freedom that comes with that.
Today, I truly embrace who I am. I respect the direction my life’s journey is taking me, allowing it to unfold naturally instead of trying to force it.
My life is not perfect, and it is far from ideal. I live with physical limitations and mobility challenges that have changed many aspects of my daily life. But they have not taken away my ability to dream, set goals, or find purpose.
Instead, they have taught me gratitude.
At 66 years old, I find myself appreciating the simple things more than ever before. A peaceful morning. The birds outside my tower window. Time with my family. Meaningful conversations. The opportunity to encourage others through my writing.
I don’t know exactly what this next chapter will bring, but I welcome it with an open heart, hope, and excitement.
Thank you for being a part of my journey. Thank you for allowing me to share my stories, my experiences, and a little seasoned soul wisdom along the way.
As I begin another year of life, my greatest hope is that something I write will encourage you to embrace your own journey with gratitude, purpose, and joy.
Blessings,
Lady Flava ❣️🌻
