H&W|Pay Attention To Your Body

Wednesday Health & Wellness

Listen to What Your Body Is Trying to Tell You

As we age, our bodies communicate with us every single day. The question is… are we listening?

I’ve shared with you that I’ve been dealing with chronic pain, mobility challenges, and constipation. Last night and this morning my body reminded me just how connected everything really is.

After several very large bowel movements, I woke up feeling physically drained. Even though I slept well, my body had worked hard overnight. It reminded me that something as simple as our digestive system can affect our energy, comfort, and overall well-being.

Many people don’t like to talk about bowel health, but we should.

Our bodies give us signals:

  • Fatigue
  • Pain
  • Changes in appetite
  • Constipation
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Changes in bladder function

These are not things to ignore or simply accept as “getting older.” They are messages that deserve our attention.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned on my own health journey is to become a student of my body. I pay attention to patterns, notice what makes me feel better or worse, and share those experiences with my healthcare providers.

We don’t have to panic every time something changes, but we also shouldn’t ignore it.

Taking care of our health starts with paying attention.

Your body is always speaking.

Today… take a moment to listen.

Blessings,
Lady Flava
