A Taste of Flava

Why I Start My Day with Intention and End It with Victory

Good Morning Friends,

Lately, you may have noticed something new on my page.

Each morning, I share a Daily Intention.

Now, each evening, I’m going to close the day by acknowledging a Daily Victory.

It wasn’t something I planned months ago. It simply grew out of my own life.

Living with chronic pain has taught me that every day is different. Some mornings I wake up feeling pretty good. Other mornings, every step takes effort. There are days when my body cooperates, and there are days when it reminds me who’s in charge.

But one thing I’ve learned is this…

I don’t want my pain to be the first thing that defines my day.

Starting my day with an intention helps me focus on the kind of person I want to be instead of what my body may or may not allow me to do.

Then life happens.

Work happens.
Family happens.
Appointments happen.
Unexpected challenges happen.

Some days are wonderful.

Some days are simply hard.

That’s why I wanted something to help me end my day with a different perspective.

Instead of asking myself what went wrong…

I ask myself,

“What was my victory today?”

Sometimes it’s something big.

Sometimes it’s incredibly small.

Maybe I drank enough water.
Maybe I made someone smile.
Maybe I picked up something from the floor without pain.
Maybe I simply made it through the day.

I’ve realized that victories don’t have to be extraordinary to matter.

In fact, the smallest victories often become the biggest reminders that we’re still moving forward.

My hope is that this becomes something we all practice together.

Start each day with intention.

End each day by acknowledging a victory.

Because no matter what life brings, I truly believe there’s always something to be grateful for.

Happy Thursday, my friends.

Today… set your intention.

Tonight… celebrate your victory.

Blessings,

Lady Flava 🌻
