Do you need time?

🌻 Do You Need Time? — Simply Flava’s Reflection
“Do you need time?”
It’s a simple question, but the answer… that depends on the day, the moment, and what your spirit is carrying.
Time for what?
Time to relax and breathe
Time to process
Time to finish something you started
Time to spend with people you love
Time to be alone
Time to just sit with yourself Time to heal
There are a lot of layers to that question.
And I can honestly say, at different points in my life, I’ve needed every single one of those types of time.
Today, if you asked me, “Do you need time?”
My answer would be yes — I need more time to heal my body.
If life ever gave me a stretch of quiet days where I didn’t have to clock in, take calls, walk clinics, or juggle everybody else’s energy… I would use that time to focus on my body.
To stretch it, rest it, nourish it, and let it recover the way it’s been asking for.
And I would write.
I would write about the healing process in real time — the good days, the frustrating days, the shifts in my mind and spirit. I would share relatable stories, the kind that remind people they’re not alone in their own healing.
My writing has played a huge role in keeping me steady.
It lets me breathe.
It lets me make sense of things that don’t always make sense out loud.
It gives me a place to heal even when the rest of my life is busy.
But life is life, and work is work…
And both of those demand time.
A large amount of it.
So sometimes “Do you need time?” feels like a question that sits right in the middle of what I want and what I have to do.
🌿 **Google says needing time looks like irritation, exhaustion, mood swings, lack of concentration…
But honestly? I say it looks like being human.**
We all need time.
Not because we’re weak — but because we’re carrying things our bodies and minds aren’t built to hold nonstop.
Whether it’s:
time to breathe time to detach time to think time to pull yourself back into balance or time to simply be quiet
You’re allowed to need that.
You’re allowed to ask for that.
And you’re allowed to honor that without guilt.
🌻 **So today I’ll ask you the same question:
Do you need time?
And what kind of time would actually help you right now?**
Let me know — I’d love to hear your answer.
