Wednesday — A Sip of Flava
Working With My Body, Not Against It
Some days don’t need pushing.
They don’t need pep talks or powering through.
They just need listening.
Today, my pain is doable.
Not gone — just cooperative.
My body isn’t fighting me, and for once, I’m not fighting it either.
I’m home.
Jazz low in the background.
Coffee right where it belongs.
My little boy posted at the window, keeping watch like he always does.
And blue skies outside my tower reminding me that calm still exists — even midweek.
I didn’t prove anything today.
I didn’t force strength.
I chose an environment that let my body breathe.
And here’s what I’m learning in this season:
When my pain eases, everything else follows. My focus sharpens. My patience stretches. Even the things that usually tug at me loosen their grip.
This isn’t about doing less.
It’s about doing what works.
It’s a good day.
Not perfect.
Just honest.
And honestly?
That’s enough.
