This morning I was preparing to write about a difficult work topic that had been weighing heavily on my heart.

But sometimes life abruptly reminds us what truly matters.

Today, I learned of an unexpected loss involving someone young. It shook me deeply and instantly changed the emotional atmosphere of the day. Suddenly, the frustrations, stress, and workplace concerns that felt important only moments before no longer carried the same weight.

There are moments in life when the heart simply says:
“Not today.”

Today is one of those days.

Instead of continuing down the road of tension and frustration, I want to pause and acknowledge how fragile life truly is. How quickly a normal morning can become one filled with grief, reflection, tears, and perspective.

Please love your people.
Please check on each other.
Please do not assume there will always be more time.

Some things can wait until tomorrow.

Today, my heart is simply heavy.
