Wednesday A Taste of Flava

Yesterday I started feeling a little under the weather, so once I clocked out for the day, I laid down to rest.

Mind you, the temperature climbed into the 80s, and that’s hot for Seattle.

Before anyone asks, yes, my drink of choice was water. I made sure to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Apparently, my body had other plans.

I fell asleep around 5:00 PM and didn’t wake up until 5:00 AM this morning. Twelve hours later, I can honestly say I feel much better.

Today is expected to reach 86 degrees, so I’m prepared. My water is nearby, the ceiling fan is running, and I have another fan pointed toward my legs. This old lady is taking no chances.

For now, I’m going to enjoy the beauty of this day from my Tower. The sky is blue, the birds are visiting, and the morning air is still pleasant.

Later, when the heat settles in, I’ll close the blinds and retreat from the sun.

Until then, I’m going to appreciate this beautiful Seattle summer day.
