A Taste of Flava
One Window. One Year. Hundreds of Stories.
When I committed to blogging every day for a year, I thought I would have to search for interesting things to write about.
What I discovered was something much simpler.
Sometimes the greatest stories are right in front of us.
For one year, I’ve looked out the very same tower window.
The same cedar tree.
The same utility pole.
The same apartment building.
Yet not one day has been exactly the same.
I’ve watched bald eagles soar overhead.
I’ve named crows, finches, squirrels, and hummingbirds that have become familiar friends. They have brought laughter, curiosity, and peace into my mornings.
I’ve photographed rainbows, sunshine, storm clouds, snow, and Seattle skies that could change within minutes.
I’ve shared my health journey, celebrated my granddaughter’s graduation, laughed with coworkers, reflected on life’s challenges, and written about topics that made me stop and think.

This year taught me something I wasn’t expecting.
You don’t always have to travel somewhere extraordinary to find beauty or inspiration.
Sometimes all it takes is slowing down long enough to notice what has been there all along.
One window.
One chair.
One curious heart.
Some days I found joy.
Some days I found strength.
Some days I found hope.
And every single day, I found a story.
Thank you to everyone who has followed, encouraged, commented, prayed, laughed, and learned alongside me during this journey.
Today marks 365 consecutive days of blogging.
I am incredibly grateful.
Here’s to another year of finding beauty in ordinary moments and discovering that every day has a story waiting to be told.
Blessings,
Lady Flava ❣️
