Saturday Real Talk
What Are You Feeding?
Have you ever stopped to think about what you’re feeding every day?
Not your body…
Your mind.
Your spirit.
Your emotions.
Every day we make hundreds of choices about what we allow into our lives.
The news we watch.
The conversations we participate in.
The social media accounts we follow.
The people we spend our time with.
The words we speak to ourselves.
Sometimes we don’t even realize how much those things are shaping our outlook on life.
If I spend every day consuming anger, division, criticism, and fear, eventually that becomes the atmosphere I carry with me.
If I spend every day looking for kindness, wisdom, laughter, gratitude, and hope, those things begin to grow inside me too.
I’m not suggesting we ignore reality.
Life isn’t always beautiful.
There are real problems that deserve our attention.
But there is a difference between being informed and becoming consumed.
I’ve had to ask myself that question more than once.
What am I feeding?
Am I feeding peace…
…or anxiety?
Am I feeding understanding…
…or assumptions?
Am I feeding hope…
…or discouragement?
The truth is, whatever we consistently feed will eventually grow.
Maybe that’s why protecting our minds has become just as important as protecting our bodies.
So today, before you scroll one more time or turn on one more headline…
Ask yourself:
Is this feeding the person I want to become?
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Blessings,
Lady Flava 🌻
