Good Morning Friends,

First, I have to tell you… I’m really not awake. 🤣 This is the morning after my neighborhood’s 4th of July Boom Party.

How did your 4th of July go?

In my neighborhood, the festivities actually started Friday night and carried into the early morning hours. Then, just when I thought it was over, there was another 15-minute encore around 5:00 a.m.

Saturday stayed fairly quiet until about 5:00 p.m., when the Boom… Pop… Bang show officially commenced once again.

Around 10:00 p.m., the aerial fireworks filled the sky with glittering colors and sparkling lights. I have to admit… it was beautiful.

I predicted things would finally settle down around 2:00 a.m., and for the most part they did. Well… except for the neighbors who decided my tower window was apparently the perfect place for an after-party. 🤣 They stood outside talking for hours. I remember thinking, It’s kind of chilly out there… they must have jackets on.

Then, around 3:00 a.m., the Boom… Bang… Pop show fired back up until about 4:00 a.m. Finally, the neighbors disappeared into their homes and cars, the fireworks came to an end, and I managed to get about two hours of sleep before waking up to write this blog.

I guess that’s what commitment to blogging looks like. 🤣
