Monday – A Taste of Flava
Good Morning Friends,
What a beautiful morning to begin a new week.
The sky is a brilliant blue, the air is cool, and from my tower window I’m already watching one of my squirrel friends making its morning rounds. It climbed up and down the utility pole, across the wires, and reminded me that every day begins with purpose, even in the smallest moments.
Now I’m waiting to see who else will stop by. Maybe Poe, Tom, Blush, or one of my little finches.
These quiet moments before work have become part of my rhythm. They settle my spirit.
This morning I also woke up with someone on my heart.
I found myself wanting to help guide them. I can see so much potential, and I want them to discover what works for them in life. But this morning I had to remind myself of something.
Not everyone who touches our heart is ours to guide.
Sometimes our role is simply to care, hope, encourage when appropriate, and then trust that their journey belongs to them.
That isn’t always easy for me.
I was blessed to grow up surrounded by people who gave me healthy guidance from the time I was born. Looking back now, I realize what an incredible gift that was. Not everyone begins life with that same foundation.
Maybe that’s why I care so deeply about people finding their own way.
Today, though, I’m choosing to let go of what isn’t mine to carry.
I’ll continue to care.
I’ll continue to believe in people.
But I’ll also trust that each of us has our own journey, our own lessons, and our own rhythm to discover.
Now it’s time to settle into my workday, enjoy my coffee, and see which of my feathered friends decide to stop by my tower window.
I hope your Monday begins with a little peace, a little sunshine, and something beautiful that reminds you to smile.
Blessings,
Lady Flava ❣️🌻
