🌻 Morning Chronicle | Lady Flava Means Business 🌻
I took two mental health days this week. I had to. I needed space to breathe, process, and come back better. Sometimes you just know when your mind and spirit are asking for a pause — and this time, I listened.
It’s foggy this morning. The sun hasn’t broken through yet, but I can feel it waiting — the same way I feel my own light waiting to rise again.
I woke up around 4 a.m., wide awake. Instead of letting my thoughts spin, I prayed. I meditated. I did my BreathWork and moved with intention — releasing what needed to go and calling in calm.
After my shower, I stood in front of the mirror and smiled at the woman looking back. Today’s look: red baggy trousers, a crisp white blouse, and my black-and-white giraffe-print trouser coat — finished with low black heels. A Lady Flava look — bold, grounded, and ready.
As I stepped into the day, someone smiled and said they liked my hair — a small moment, but one that hit different. It reminded me that peace shows up on your face when your soul’s been tended to.
And before noon, a patient handed in a compliment card for me. I gave it to a supervisor with a smile, because sometimes the best way to prove your value is to let your work — and your heart — do the talking.
Today’s mindset: Faith. Intention. Renewal.
It’s still early, the fog hasn’t lifted yet, but my spirit already has.
The fog will lift — it always does.
