ASipOfFlava| Working From My Tower

Wednesday | A Sip of Flava ☕️

I know one day I’ll have to return to working in the clinic.

But whew… I’m really going to miss working from my tower.

I have it set up just right for me.

The temperature is perfect.

A heating pad when my body needs it.

An electric blanket for extra warmth when the chill settles in.

I’m always talking about the forever-changing sky outside my tower window — watching the birds go back and forth like they’re on their own little schedules. There’s something deeply calming about that view. It grounds me.

Then there’s my grandcat Musty, who comes to hang out next to me — under my desk or on his tower. That quiet companionship is a comfort I don’t take for granted.

Being home, I feel sharper.

I notice more.

I catch things in our Teams chats that I might miss in the clinic noise. I’m able to share my wisdom and experience in a way that feels thoughtful instead of rushed.

Working from home really works for me as an empath. I don’t have to manage the direct energy of the clinics. I’m not distracted or overstimulated. It’s just me, my grandcats, and the birds outside — and that makes a difference.

This setup allows me to do my job well and take care of my body and spirit.

So… we’ll see how long I can stretch working from home 😁

Because right now, this tower fits me just fine.
