The Push Back
You ever notice…
You can say something simple.
Practical. Helpful. Makes sense.
And still…
you get push back.
It’s not always because you’re wrong.
Sometimes it’s because:
People are comfortable with how things are
Even when it’s not working
Sometimes it’s because:
They didn’t think of it first
Sometimes it’s because:
Change—even small change—feels like extra work
And sometimes…
People just don’t see what you see.
And that can be frustrating.
Because in your mind you’re thinking—
“I’m not trying to make this complicated…
I’m trying to make this better.”
But here’s the part I’ve learned…
Push back is information.
It tells you:
Who is open
Who is resistant
And who is actually listening
Because if you pay attention…
There’s always one.
One person who hears you.
One person who gets it.
One person who says—
“That makes sense.”
That’s where the shift starts.
Not with everyone.
With the right one.
So how do you work around push back?
You don’t fight it.
You don’t force it.
You don’t take it personal.
You do what you did.
You say it.
You stand in it.
And then…
You keep moving.
And if it matters to you?
You build it anyway.
Quietly.
On your own.
In your own way.
Because not every good idea needs permission.
Real Talk:
Push back doesn’t mean stop.
It just means… not everyone is ready.
