🎶 Finding a New Rhythm When Life Changes the Route

Simply Flava | Reflection & Growth

I’ve learned that I move through life by rhythm.

Every day, my body, my eyes, and even my breathing follow a familiar beat — the route from home to work, the turns, the bridges, the lights. I know how the sun hits the road at certain points, when the traffic slows, when to change lanes.

Crossing the 1st Ave Bridge or sliding onto I-5 isn’t just driving — it’s a dance. My car and I have our moves down, smooth and predictable. That rhythm gives me peace. It’s comfort in motion.

But life has a way of changing the route.

Pharmacies close. Clinics move. Schedules shift. And suddenly, the rhythm I know gets interrupted — the familiar song replaced by a new tempo I didn’t ask for.

I’ve ridden the bus before, and I know I can do it again. I’ll learn the stops, the timing, the hum of that ride. But it’s different when you’re used to knowing every turn by heart. I like being able to predict the rhythm of my journey — it helps me feel grounded in a world that keeps rearranging itself.

Still, I remind myself that rhythm doesn’t just live in the path — it lives in me.

Even when the route changes, I can still move with grace, adapt, and find my flow again. That’s what seasoned souls do.

Change the bridge, change the route — the rhythm remains mine. 🌻

Do you live by a daily rhythm that brings you comfort, or does changing up the flow not affect your vibe?
