🌻 Health & Wellness with Flava: Eating Better Starts with Preparing Better
Let me be real with you…
Flava needs a new routine.
Most mornings, I’m pushing myself just to get out the door — grabbing whatever’s closest, whether it’s a couple mini muffins or something that barely qualifies as breakfast. And let’s be honest… that’s not enough fuel for the way my days go.
What I really need is to set myself up so I’m not scrambling every morning, trying to figure out what to pack or what to eat at work.
Just simple things. Easy things. Grab-and-go things that don’t require energy I don’t have at 6:30 a.m.
Some days I have the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, fruit, and carrots already sitting in my fridge… but none of it means anything if it’s not portioned or ready for me to grab as I head out the door.
I’m learning that eating better doesn’t start with food —it starts with reparation.
A rhythm. A small system that makes my mornings lighter and my body stronger.
So here’s the simple list I’m building for myself — things that are easy to grab, gentle on the stomach, and actually give my body the protein and energy it needs:
🌼 Flava’s Easy Protein List (No Stress, No Prep)
🥚 Quick Breakfast Proteins
Egg bites (store-bought or frozen) Pre-cooked hard-boiled eggs Cottage cheese cups Greek yogurt cups
🥛 Drinkable Proteins
Fairlife shakes Premier Protein Orgain Clean Protein (gentler if dairy bothers you)
🧀 Grab-and-Go Snacks
Cheese sticks Babybel rounds Tuna or chicken salad snack kits Protein bars (ONE, RX Bar, Kind Protein, Pure Protein)
🍗 Simple Meal Proteins
Rotisserie chicken (break it down into small containers) Pre-cooked chicken strips Chicken salad cups Turkey slices
🥕 Easy Sides to Pair
Carrot bags Apple slices Grapes Berries Crackers Nuts Hummus cups
Now that I have this list, my next step is building a small routine — pre-portioning things, keeping a little basket in the fridge, and setting up a few snacks at my desk for mornings when life hits hard.
Because this isn’t about perfection…
It’s about support.
It’s about taking care of my body in ways that don’t overwhelm me.
And I want to open this up to you:
**Do you deal with this too?
What’s your go-to tip for making sure you eat while you’re at work?**
I’d love to hear how you make it work — because we all need reminders, support, and new ideas to take better care of ourselves.
