đ» Be Kind. Stay Calm. Choose Peace.
I believe that when you stay consistent with kindness â in your personal world and your professional world â you quietly change the lives of the people around you.
It doesnât take grand gestures. Most of the time, itâs the tone you choose, the patience you offer, or the calm you hold onto when everything in you wants to snap.
Iâve learned something about myself:
Even when I feel annoyed â by a family member, a coworker, a situation â
I can still choose kindness.
I can choose to stay calm.
I can choose not to play into the irritation rising inside of me.
Most of the time, what escalates a moment isnât the issue itself â itâs the reaction.
Our reaction.
When we choose calm, the moment softens.
When we choose kindness, the tension dissolves.
And sometimes, we discover the âproblemâ wasnât a problem at all â it was just a feeling passing through.
That old saying rings truer the older I get:
âYou cannot control the actions of other peopleâŠyou can only control how you react.â
We speak these wise words.
We repeat them to others.
But living them?
Thatâs the real work.
Thatâs the part we grow into over a lifetime.
Every tradition, every culture, every religion has touched on this lesson â whether through storytelling, parables, or folklore. Because itâs universal. Itâs human. Itâs timeless.
So today, Iâm choosing to grow into it a little more.
Be kind.
Stay calm.
And remember that peace starts with the choices we make in the smallest of moments.
