What is your mission?

A meaningful personal mission statement contains two basic elements. The first is what you want to do – what you want to accomplish, what contributions you want to make. The second is what you want to be – what character strengths you want to have, what qualities you want to develop.

What Is My Mission?
From a young age, I knew I was meant to be in service to others. I believe God placed this calling on my heart—to be a support person for many, offering presence, compassion, and practical help.
As a child and teenager, I found fulfillment in simply being there for my friends. I wanted them to feel seen, heard, and cared for, and I did what I could to support them in times of need.
This sense of mission followed me into adulthood. Throughout my life, I’ve chosen roles that allowed me to provide a positive service—whether arranging flowers, coordinating hotel accommodations, managing international shipments, supporting survivors of domestic violence, running a community coffeehouse, or working in ElderCare, hospice, and now, patient services. Every job I’ve held has centered around making life better for others.
So, I would say, simply: my mission in life is to serve.
That service can take many forms:
- A listening ear
- Sharing helpful information
- Spending meaningful time
- Offering a smile and kind words
- Being fully present
- Providing honest guidance
- Independent Artist and Entertainment Supporter
I’ve come to understand that service is not one-size-fits-all. Over the years, I’ve learned to observe and listen closely—not just to what people say, but how they say it. Everyone communicates differently, and many are misunderstood because their style isn’t recognized. I strive to meet people where they are, adjusting my approach to fit their needs.
Today, I’m proud to continue this mission as a Patient Service Specialist in healthcare, where I offer both compassion and clarity to those navigating medical systems.
