Health & Wellness with Flava | 9:00 AM Wednesday
Most mornings, I begin with BreathWork, Prayer, and Meditation ā my quiet triangle of peace.
But lately, Iāve realized thereās a fourth piece thatās always been there: Visualization.
Itās that silent movie that plays in your mind ā the one where you picture what you want, how you want to feel, or what you hope to become.
I didnāt always call it that, but Iāve been doing it for years.
The Power of Seeing Before It Happens
Visualization isnāt about fantasy ā itās about focus.
Itās seeing yourself in the version of life youāre working toward, and letting that picture sink deep enough that your body starts to believe it.
When I pray for safe travels, I donāt just say the words ā I see it.
I see Poopsie and me gliding smoothly through the streets, traffic lights turning green at just the right time, peace riding shotgun.
I see calm. I feel gratitude.
Thatās visualization in motion.
How It Shows Up in My Life
I do this when I walk too.
I visualize myself moving smoother, steadier.
It doesnāt always work like magic, but it does shift something inside me.
Because the more I see it, the more my body remembers what it feels like to move with ease.
Itās like my sunflower blinders ā that intentional focus on whatās bright, whatās possible, whatās next.
I donāt ignore reality, but I also donāt stare at the storm.
I visualize the sun after it passes.
A Gentle Reminder
Visualization doesnāt mean pretending everythingās perfect.
It means holding an image of what you want long enough to give yourself something to reach for.
Itās your spirit whispering, āKeep going ā you can see it because itās already waiting for you.ā
Closer Thought
āBefore the day begins, I breathe, pray, meditateā¦
and I see myself becoming.ā š»
