RealTalk|Anger, Bullying, and Violence

Saturday Real Talk 🌻

Anger, Bullying, and Violence — What’s Really Going On?

Lately… I’ve been noticing something.

People are on edge.

Short-tempered.

Quick to react.

Quick to snap.

Quick to judge.

And if I’m being honest…

It doesn’t feel like it’s just one thing.

It feels like everything.

🌪️ This Age of Anger

We are living in a time where people are carrying a lot.

Financial stress is real

Work pressure is real

The world feels uncertain

Social media keeps feeding us negativity

And everyone seems to have something to say… loudly

So what happens?

All of that pressure builds up…

and instead of being processed…

It comes out as anger.

🧠 But Anger Isn’t Always the Root

A lot of times, anger is just the surface.

Underneath it?

👉 fear

👉 frustration

👉 exhaustion

👉 pain

👉 feeling unseen or unheard

And when people don’t know how to express that…

It shows up in ways that hurt others.

⚠️ Bullying Isn’t Just for Kids

Let’s be real…

Bullying didn’t stay on the playground.

It grew up.

Now it shows up:

in workplaces in families on social media in everyday conversations

And most of the time?

It’s not about the person being targeted.

It’s about the person doing the bullying:

👉 needing control

👉 dealing with insecurity

👉 lacking empathy

👉 trying to feel powerful

💥 And Then There’s Violence

Violence doesn’t come out of nowhere.

It builds.

From:

environments

people grow up in what they’ve been exposed to

lack of resources

emotional and mental struggles and sometimes… generations of unhealed trauma

It’s layered.

And when nothing interrupts that cycle…

It continues.

🌻 So What Do We Do With All of This?

We can’t fix the whole world.

But we can start with ourselves.

👉 Take breaks from constant negativity

👉 Be mindful of what we consume

👉 Practice empathy—even when it’s hard

👉 Pause before reacting

👉 Stay grounded in who we are

🧘🏽‍♀️ My Real Talk

I’ve experienced moments in my own life where people acted out of anger, control, or misunderstanding.

And I had to learn something important:

Not everything is mine to carry.

I don’t have to absorb someone else’s anger.

I don’t have to match their energy.

And I don’t have to stay in spaces that don’t feel right for me.

💛 Final Thought

Just because the world feels loud…

doesn’t mean you have to be.

You can be:

👉 calm

👉 steady

👉 thoughtful

👉 intentional

Because in a world full of noise…

Peace stands out.
