Friday A Sip of Flava
Good morning from the tower.
Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me why I love working with people.
A mystery airplane flew over my tower and disappeared before I could get a picture.
A giant bug decided my window was the perfect place for a photo shoot.
Seattle weather insisted it was cloudy while sunshine poured through my window and forced me to close the blinds because I was getting too hot.
At work, I somehow found myself discussing Dr. AJ, translating a patient conversation that felt like two different conversations happening at once, and helping a caller who wanted information from a hospital birth nineteen years ago.
Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I learned another lesson about listening.
Life is funny that way.
Some days are serious.
Some days are difficult.
And some days hand you enough stories to fill an entire blog before lunch.
As I sit here this morning with my coffee, I am grateful for all of it.
The laughter.
The confusion.
The lessons.
The people.
Because ordinary days are rarely as ordinary as they first appear.
