Sunday Real Talk – Patience

I was going to write about patience.

You know… the kind we hear about all the time.

Stay calm.

Wait it out.

Be understanding.

But life has a way of stepping in and showing you what patience really looks like.

Patience isn’t just about waiting.

It’s about what you’re waiting through.

It’s about what you’re noticing while you’re being patient.

Because sometimes…

You’re not just waiting on time.

You’re watching patterns.

You’re feeling energy.

You’re paying attention to what’s consistent… and what’s not.

There comes a point where patience gives you clarity.

And once you see clearly…

You have a choice.

Do I keep waiting?

Or do I make a decision?

I’ve learned that patience is not meant to keep you in situations that don’t feel right.

It’s not meant to override your instincts.

It’s not meant to silence what your spirit is picking up on.

Patience has a purpose.

It gives you time to:

observe

understand

feel what’s real

But it also has a limit.

Because at some point…

Patience without change becomes permission.

And that’s where you have to be honest with yourself.

Not loud.

Not dramatic.

Just honest.

You can care about someone…

and still not feel comfortable.

You can see potential…

and still recognize present behavior.

You can have patience…

and still say:

“This doesn’t sit right with me.”

And when you reach that place?

That’s not failure.

That’s clarity.

Patience did its job.

Now it’s time to do yours.

At some point, patience stops being patience…

and becomes a choice to keep allowing something that isn’t right.

And I’m learning to recognize the difference.
