A Sip of Flava ☀️🌿🏙️
This morning feels light.
Not perfect. Not fully figured out. Just… lighter.
Today I’m heading to the orthopedic surgeon to talk about my hips, but the morning started calmly. The sun is shining over Seattle, the birds are singing outside my tower window, and for the first time in a while, my body and spirit both feel a little quieter.
I got up.
Showered.
Washed and dried my hair.
Did my morning Call Out for work.
And honestly? That felt like a win.
Sometimes we overlook the small victories because we’re too focused on the bigger problems still waiting for answers. But this morning reminded me that peace can show up before solutions do.
As we drove through the city, Seattle showed off a little today.
The trees glowed under the morning sun.
The skyline stood tall and familiar.
The streets slowly woke up under blue skies and soft light.
And somewhere between the traffic lights, buildings, and patches of green, I realized something:
Sometimes healing starts before the appointment.
Maybe it begins in the quiet car ride there.
The sunlight through the trees.
The familiar Seattle skyline.
The feeling of being supported.
The moment your nervous system finally exhales.
Life still has its questions.
My body still has its challenges.
But today reminded me that beauty still rides alongside us.
Even between concrete and chaos…
there is still open sky above us.
And today…
Seattle felt soft with me. ☀️🌿🏙️
