I love my coffee, you already know.
But before the ritual, I give my body something simple: a mug of hot water. No fanfare. No hype. Just warmth first, caffeine later. It sets my day up quieter, kinder, and more in tune with me.
Why hot water first?
Because your bodyâs been fasting all night. Itâs dehydrated, cool, and a little sleepy. Warm water says, âGood morning, letâs wake up gently.â Not a joltâan invitation.

Then coffee: Give it 10â15 minutes before that first delicious cup.
Optional add-ins (when I want a little extra)
Lemon slice for brightness.
Fresh ginger for warmth in the colder months.
Pinch of sea salt if Iâm extra parched (just a pinch).
