Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

WordPress Prompt: Do you have a quote you live your life by?
“Attitude is Everything.”
I love this quote.
I try hard to live by it… and I’m far from perfect.
But when it matters—when I need to show up—I tap into it.
Especially in my work.
I talk to patients every day who are in pain, anxious, and dealing with spine or brain concerns. Those are heavy conversations. And in those moments, my attitude matters more than anything I say.
My tone.
My patience.
My presence.
That’s where I try to be spot on.
Because I wholeheartedly believe:
Attitude is not just important… it’s everything.
Growing up, this message had a deeper connection for me.
Keith Harrell graduated from Garfield the year before I came in. He was known as a standout athlete, and his parents worked with my dad, so his name was always familiar in our circles.
Later, he wrote the book:
“Attitude is Everything: 10 Life-Changing Steps to Turning Attitude Into Action.”
I remember reading it and feeling like—yes… this is it.
He broke it down in a way that made sense:
understanding the power of your attitude
taking control of your responses
reframing negativity
being proactive and
choosing how you show up in life
It wasn’t just motivation—it was practical.
Another book by Jeff Keller carries a similar message—your mindset drives your outcomes. What you think, what you say, and how you act… all starts with your attitude.
And the truth is…
Life will always give you situations you didn’t plan for.
You don’t control that.
But you do control how you respond.
That’s where attitude comes in.
Not in a forced, fake positivity kind of way…
but in a grounded, intentional way.
Choosing:
patience over frustration
clarity over chaos presence over reaction
I don’t get it right all the time.
But I believe in it enough to keep coming back to it.
Because when you really think about it…
Attitude is Everything.
