H&W |It’s Showtime

Friday H&W 🌻

It’s Showtime 😁

There is something powerful about showing up for yourself… even on the days you really don’t feel like it.

Not fake positivity.

Not pretending everything is perfect.

I’m talking about those days when your body aches a little more than you want it to. The days your energy is low. The days you wake up already feeling behind emotionally, mentally, or physically.

And yet… you still decide to enter the day with intention.

When I was younger — nah, even when I was still physically going into the clinic every day — I learned something about myself.

If I put on a Lady Flava outfit, picked the right lipstick color, fixed myself up a little, and decided I was going to show up anyway… something in my attitude shifted.

Not because my problems disappeared.

But because I shifted.

That simple act of putting myself together would change my energy. It was like telling myself:

“We’re not staying stuck in this mood all day.”

And honestly? A lot of times it worked.

I think people underestimate how much power there is in intention.

We may not control everything that happens during a day, but we do have some control over how we enter it.

Think about that.

When you decide to show up for yourself — even on a rough day — you are already influencing your outcome and your experience.

That smile you force at first may slowly become real.

That fresh outfit may lift your confidence.

That hot shower, lip gloss, cowboy coffee, prayer, music, or quiet moment at the window may help settle your spirit more than you realize.

Sometimes healing starts in the smallest acts.

And let’s be honest… when we choose to bring a little light into ourselves, it often spills over onto other people too.

A smile.

A kind word.

A little extra patience.

A warm interaction.

You never know who needed that energy from you that day.

So maybe we should do ourselves a favor and stop waiting to “feel perfect” before we decide to show up for life.

Sometimes showing up is the medicine.

Sometimes showing up is the victory.

And honestly?

Showing up is much easier than you might think.

All you have to say is…

“It’s Showtime.” 😁
