When a Connection Feels Real… But Isn’t Stable

There was a time in my life when I was connected to someone whose name carried weight.

Not just in rooms… but in how people moved around them.

I saw things up close that most people only see from the outside.

We had real conversations.

Deep ones.

The kind where you sit for hours and talk about life, family, health, trust… everything.

I saw a side of them that not many people got to see.

And in those moments, it felt genuine.

But here’s what I learned…

A relationship can have real moments

and still not be a solid relationship.

Because outside of those private conversations…

There were other dynamics at play.

People in their ear.

Energy shifting without explanation.

Situations being interpreted instead of discussed.

And I found myself in moments where I was:

👉 explaining things I didn’t do

👉 feeling a shift I couldn’t control

👉 and realizing communication wasn’t always direct

That’s when clarity started to come in.

Not every connection—no matter how deep it feels—

is meant to be consistent.

Not every person who opens up to you

is able to hold a steady relationship with you.

And that’s not always about you.

Sometimes it’s about:

👉 trust issues

👉 influence

👉 environment

👉 and how someone is used to operating

I also learned something about myself.

I don’t move off of:

name status or access

I move off of:

👉 consistency

👉 respect

👉 and clear communication

You can have love for a moment.

You can appreciate what was shared.

And still choose distance.

Some connections are meant to:

👉 show you something

👉 teach you something

👉 and then become a chapter

Not a permanent place in your life.

And that’s okay.
