“It Was Still a Good Day”

This morning… I’m sitting with my coffee thinking about yesterday.

And I’m not going to lie—

it wasn’t smooth.

Systems acting up.

Referrals wrong.

Things missing that should’ve been there.

Weather doing whatever it wanted to do.

And my body feeling every bit of it.

It was one of those days where you could easily say…

“Today was a mess.”

💭 But here’s what I’m choosing to remember

My Korean patient was happy.

My German patient was grateful.

My Canadian patient understood exactly what to do next.

Different people.

Different situations.

Same outcome…

👉 they felt taken care of

💯 And that’s what matters

Not everything went right behind the scenes.

But on the front line?

People got:

answers

direction

reassurance

And sometimes that’s more important than everything running perfectly.

🌿 Real Life Truth

Healthcare isn’t always smooth.

Systems fail.

People miss things.

Days get heavy.

But if the person on the other end of the phone feels heard?

👉 you did your job

So as I sit here with my coffee this morning…

I’m not focusing on what didn’t go right.

I’m holding onto this:
