✨ Thursday 9AM Light Story✨
**“Two Moments That Made Me Laugh… and Think”**
Every now and then, life hands you little moments that make you laugh… and then make you tilt your head and say, “Now isn’t that something?”
I had two of those moments this week — both simple, both funny, but somehow both full of meaning.
First one:
I’m driving and listening to NPR, and they’re running a whole segment on Dating in 2025. I just shook my head and laughed.
Because didn’t we just talk about that?
Didn’t I just write a whole piece breaking down the dating landscape — the inconsistencies, the lack of effort, the soft-dating, the confusion?
I thought, “Well look at that… NPR finally caught up.”
Not a coincidence. Just confirmation.
Sometimes lived experience shows you what the experts don’t see until later.
Life has a rhythm… and when you pay attention, you hear the beat early.
Second moment:
Today, one of the young ones — O, she’s only 25 — came up to me looking so serious.
She said, “I had horrible back pain all weekend… every time I bent or turned. Then I had a bowel movement… and my back pain went away.
Now I believe everything you said!”
I had to laugh.
Because I’ve been out here telling people the truth about constipation and back pain for years.
And she had her own little hallelujah moment on the toilet and ran to tell me about it.
For a 25-year-old to have that kind of revelation?
That’s a rite of passage she will never forget.
Two completely different moments — one from the news, one from a bathroom breakthrough — but both reminded me of the same thing:
People learn things in their own time.
Sometimes you hear it.
Sometimes you live it.
Sometimes NPR confirms you…
and sometimes a 25-year-old’s bowel movement does.
Either way, life keeps handing you little truths wrapped in humor.
You just have to pay attention.
