When Stress Shows Up in Your Body
I’ve learned something over time…
My body doesn’t lie.
I can try to push through things, ignore how I feel, keep moving like everything is fine… but my body will always tell the truth.
Stress doesn’t just stay in your head.
It shows up.
It shows up in my blood pressure.
It shows up in my pain.
It shows up in how tight my body feels when I’m trying to move through the day.
And the part I’ve had to learn?
It’s not always about doing more to fix it.
Sometimes it’s about slowing down.
Today, I felt it.
My body was off.
My pain was there.
My energy wasn’t where I wanted it to be.
But instead of pushing harder, I did something different.
I talked.
I let things out.
I processed what was on my mind instead of holding it in.
And little by little… my body started to ease up.
That’s when it clicked again.
This is all connected.
My thoughts.
My emotions.
My body.
We don’t always need:
more movement
more effort or
more pressure on ourselves
Sometimes we need:
stillness
honesty and
space to release what we’re carrying
I’m learning to listen.
Not just to what I want my body to do…
But to what it’s actually telling me.
Pay attention to your body.
It will always tell you the truth.
