When Your Body Starts Asking for More

Opening

Something has shifted in my body over the last two weeks…

And I had to pay attention.

For a long time, I could function off one meal a day.

That was normal for me.

That worked for me.

But lately?

I’ve been feeling real hunger.

Not boredom. Not cravings.

👉 Actual hunger.

Listening to My Body

And I had to stop and ask myself…

What is my body trying to tell me?

Because this isn’t random.

I’m moving more.

I’m healing.

I’m becoming more intentional about how I take care of myself.

So it makes sense that my body is saying:

👉 “I need more.”

What I’m Noticing

My taste has changed.

I’m craving:

fruits

vegetables

hard boiled eggs

protein

Things that actually fuel me.

Not just something quick to get by.

I even found some protein bars that are so good… and the crazy part?

They actually take the hunger away.

And now I’m getting into electrolyte drinks too…

because I can feel the difference when I hydrate properly.

Energy Feels Different

Today I ate well.

And I noticed something simple…

👉 I had more energy.

Not forced energy.

Not caffeine energy.

Just… steady.

Being Real About It

Now let me be clear…

I’m not trying to be perfect.

I’m still going to have:

chips

sometimes baked goods

dark chocolate

mixed nuts (because that’s my thing 😉)

This isn’t about restriction.

It’s about awareness.

What I’m Learning

I can’t ignore hunger anymore.

And honestly?

I don’t want to.

Because this version of hunger feels like my body is:

👉 waking up

👉 asking for support

👉 adjusting to a new rhythm

Simple, Doable Snacks

I’m Exploring

Not complicated.

Not overwhelming.

Just real options that make sense:

hard boiled eggs

Greek yogurt with fruit

apples with almond butter

mixed nuts + dark chocolate

veggies with hummus

protein bars that actually satisfy

frozen grapes (listen… these hit different 😁)

Closing

I’m learning to listen to my body in a way I didn’t before.

Not ignoring it.

Not pushing through it.

Just… responding to it.

And if my body is asking for more?

👉 I’m going to give it what it needs.
